Please Note: Reiki and IET are not substitutes for regular medical and/or psychological care. Reiki and IET work in conjunction with traditional medical treatment.
Reiki is a holistic, hands-on healing method to restore the body to its natural state of balance and energy.  The recipient remains fully clothed.  Traditionally, the recipient reclines on a Reiki table throughout the session.  However, you may sit in a chair if this would feel more comfortable for you, as long as it allows the Practitioner to provide hands-on treatment without the disruption of contact.

During the treatment, you may feel very relaxed, and you may notice that the Practioner's hands feel warm, or even hot.  This is a normal sensation, although not everyone experiences this sensation.  Some people people may feel a tingling in the area of the Practitioner's hands, still others may not notice any unusual sensations.
The session is started by discussing which areas of healing you wish to focus on.  During the Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET) session, you lie fully clothed on a massage table.  Soothing background music may be played to help you to relax.  Next, IET energy is systematically directed into specific areas of your body's cellular memory by means of gentle therapeutic touch, and powerful IET techniques are used to gently get your issues out of your tissues for good.

As with Reiki treatments, some people may notice heat, coolness, or a  tingling sensation from the Practitioner's hands.  Others do not notice anything unusual.
